A small crew that treats your house like it's ours.
Pick Your Palette is family-owned and run day to day by the owners, whose name is on the estimate. We keep the crew small on purpose. It's how the work stays consistent.
Painting is a trade. We treat it like one.
Pick Your Palette started the way a lot of small painting companies do: with more requests than one person could take on, and a decision to do it properly instead of rushing to keep up. We're a husband-and-wife-owned business, and we've kept the crew small so that the person who gave you the estimate is still someone you'd recognize on the job site.
Staying small comes with trade-offs. We can't run multiple crews across town at once. What it buys instead is accountability. Real prep, sanding, patching, and taping done right, not just rolling color over problems, and a crew that's been trained the same way, not a rotating cast of subcontractors.
Above all, we stay accountable to the people whose homes and businesses we're in. That shows up in small ways: showing up when we say we will, protecting your floors and furniture, and being straight with you about what a project actually needs before we quote it.

"Accurate knowledge of the trade, paired with real ability, is what makes a painter worth hiring. We stay watchful of our customers' interests first."
PICK YOUR PALETTE, ON HOW WE WORKSmall enough to still care about the details
A small, hands-on crew can't hide behind a call center. If a color reads differently once it's dry, or a coat needs a second pass, we're the ones who hear about it, and we're the ones who fix it.
We'd rather turn down a job that isn't a good fit than take it on and cut corners to make the schedule work.
Four stages, start to finish
The same sequence whether it's one room or a whole exterior.
Walkthrough & estimate
We look at the space in person, talk through color and finish options, and give you a clear, written estimate.
Protect & prepare
Floors, furniture, and fixtures get covered. Surfaces are patched, sanded, and taped before any paint opens.
Coat with care
Straight lines, even coats, and a crew that keeps the site clean and tidy as the work moves along.
Walkthrough & wrap-up
We walk the finished space with you, handle any touch-ups on the spot, and clean up completely before we go.
What we hold ourselves to
Honesty in the estimate
The number we give you up front is the number you pay. No surprise line items after the job starts.
Fairness on price
We scope every job on what it actually needs, not on padding the invoice for a bigger house or business.
Personal responsibility
If something's not right, we come back and fix it. Our name is on the job, so the job has to hold up.
